Closest thing I could come up within the range of choices is the SansAmp BDDI. Instead, I have 3 Tech 21 rackmounts including:

*VTRM
*RPM
*vintage pre-PSA (not programmable)

I do not string them together as many others do.

How do you like the PSA? Pros and Cons I've thought about getting one for years the only thing that worries me is the lack of a blend control. The programmable one. But I know which one you are talking about.

It's a strange agent, one where you use your ears and not your eyes to set parameters. All 3 EQ settings provide OD (...some good, some bad) within their respective ranges. Add to that a preamp input gain level and dedicated "drive control"...you get the idea. No FX loop but that's okay as I use a pedalboard. The XLR / DI output is governed by a trimpot on the reverse of the chassis. Also uses a proprietary XLR-esque 2-pin wall-wart power supply...better not forget that sucker!

I can coax some really nice tones out of the box but can just as easily get some nastiness going. 12:00 does not equal "flat" by a long shot. I like mine better than the RBI and that's pretty durn respectable, too. I needed a manual...the guys @ Tech21 e-mailed a pdf of scanned pages if that tells you anything.
