Your favourite basses ever

Oddly enough, even though I've never played a Ric, the two basses that I continually lust after are Lemmy's carved walnut Ric and this model Rick...

Also another observation, Rics and Gibsons are generally beat up on here at TB but they seem to be fairly well represented in this thread of desired basses. Confusing.
Oh, and I'd also love the Entwistle FenderBird!

I absolutely the jazz bass featured in some of the MXR Youtube videos.

Moreover, I love this white T-bird Nikki Sixx has plastered with stickers

Also those black sadowskys with the black pickguards Jason Newsted played looked pretty awesome. A very spartan look.

And last but not least, Geddy Lees white Rickenbackers

I'm pretty sure I read that they rented the bass, guitar, and drums that they used for that old Fly By Night video (and the Anthem video they filmed in that same session). You never see Ged use a white 4001 anywhere else. Same thing for that walnut brown ES-345 or 355 or whatever it is, that Alex is using. And same thing for the all-concert-tom chrome Slingerland set Neil's using.

It strikes me as odd that every time Geddy is mentioned, it's his Jazz Bass and never the 4001. I love his Jazz, but both of his 4001s were really what got people's attention way back when. The Jazz growls nicely, but his Rics would ROAR.
