That was an interesting discovery for me. Never saw it, just saw the mention and pics on Google. Familiar with the movie only because we gave the DVD to my daughter, by request, for her birthday a couple of years ago. I remember she came to me asking if the bass on the cover was the same as one of my basses. I looked and said, yeah, my red one, the Rickenbacker.

even to this day I still remember the first time I saw their pictures.....I actually prefer the Women of the 40's and 50's before society suddenly decided that twigs were more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

From "real life"? Probably Altirra (Anne Francis) in Forbidden Planet. But, I also was a big comic book fan; so probably - from 1958; Adam Strange's other-worldly girlfriend Alanna. I mean, Veronica was pretty nice looking - and so was Betty; but, compared to Alanna...? Uh..not quite there yet...

I'm gonna forego the pic in this case as it just seems weird, but I will always remember the 98' Summer Olympics for introducing my 10 year old self to the adorable Dominique Moceanu of the US women's gymnastics team. I had a major thing for her at the time.
