Your Gig Rig

Ok... here's my main gigging rig (see attached files). I wouldn't change a thing!

I'm re-posting this as I deleted the photo... before I upped my membership on TB.

if you're looking for a 1U poweramp, i can recommend a Stewart World 1.2, as its been a great power amp for me.
i run it bridged mono @4 ohms /1Kwatts.

Glad you haven't had thermal issues with yours.

I'd warn general readers that some owners had thermal shutdown problems with the World 1.2 and the World 600 because of the lack of an internal fan.
Of course, if you want to use an external fan in warm situations, I'm sure that would resolve those issues.

i guess that i'm lucky since mine hasn't thermalled yet. and i have pushed it pretty hard too.

I don't know what percentage of bass-playing owners have had problems, I've just heard some reports.

I'm sensitive to thermal issues because I live in Texas and playing outdoor gigs in the summer heat caused a bridged QSC PLX1600 (w/4ohm load) to shutdown a couple of times and PLX's are very reliable amps.

I started carrying a stand fan with me that I would set behind my rack to keep things cool (PITA, but it worked).

Here's what I play:

Unfortunately I don't technically own this stuff, I've just been using it for the past 4 or 5 years. The rig belongs to my guitar player (he's a serious gear hound), and the bass belongs to the singer (used to play some bass, but now plays acoustic.) Lucky me! A little on the heavy side.

After 3 years of pro playing and about 25 years of dreaming, this is my completed rig. Aside from my rig, I only need a couple really good basses now. The Ibanez works, but I'd love an F Bass and a Sadowsky too.

when i saw the monkees reunion tour in 1986, their bassist had a pilot that looked just like that. very underrated bass, that pilot.
