Your Most Expensive Bass?

Probably my Squarmoth fretless. It started out as my cheapest bass, a Squier VM Jazz fretless 'Jaco Jr.'. After replacing everything but the control plate, neck plate, and body, it's now my most expensive.

The Jazz is most definitely the best of those two, it's just that I'm more of a Precision guy, and it really is a great bass.

I hear you. She's not telling me I can't buy it, she just thinks it's ridiculous that some instruments cost that much when there are perfectly playable ones on the store for less than $500. She just doesn't get it. lol

But I can't blame her for the timing, we're getting married June 2016, so in a time of trying to save up as much as we can for the big day, a new bass probably shouldn't be on my agenda.

But the agreement we made was that in addition to the money I put towards the wedding from my full time job- I'll take 25% of my gigging money and put it there as well, whereas 75% of it will go towards the bass. My band usually gigs out 3 times/month or so, so that'll add up quickly.

A Michael Kors bag is how I got my last bass, lol, she told me one night "I ordered that bag" next day I brought home a project bass.

MIA P American special was 900 before a trade in on an old bass. I like it a lot and it's cool for now I want a "better" one later. I also don't golf or have any other expensive hobbies. A pair of running shoes every 6 months is pretty cheap.
