Hopped the stage, wandered around, almost knoked Jimi on his ass and talked for a minute or so.

Well memorable would be:
1) My first concert Beach Boys...just a fun time.
2) Going to the FIRM concert and no ticket till I got there. A guy pulled up next to us and said anyone need a ticket my girl couldn't go. So I gave him $10 and we walked all the way to the 2nd row dead center...WOW...(and to top it off I met the whole band afterwards at the hotel they were staying at.)
3) Was actually last week when I went to see Ted Nugent. WOW what a guitarist. Sometimes you forget how good a musician he is until you see him live. More energy and talented band than I've seen in a while.

Nuge back with St Holmes was an amazing band. He’s a great performer.

ELO at Wembley Arena (Out of the Blue tour) 1978.
Diana Ross at Wembley Arena 1989.
Runner Up: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings at Santa Barbara Bowl 2015.
Unforgettable.

So many more could be in the list.

My older brothers GF took me there to see her brothers band (John Knoblaugh Band?) at the Main Point when I was about 15 (not a bar so I could get in). 1st time I ever had bean sprouts, which seemed pretty exotic for a Philly (Olney) boy.

As an audience member?

For me it's a tossup between three. The Roxy Music Country Life tour, Little Feat Dixie Chicken, or Gentle Giant touring Free Hand. Three shows I am amazed I had the opportunity to experience.

How about you?

Yes, Gentle Giant was amazing. I saw them at the Shrine auditorium. Concerts were a little cheaper back then.

My very 1st concert was Thin Lizzy opening for Queen at the Philly Civic Center (1976?). Research tells me that Gary Moore was replacing Brian Robertson at the time. So......my first dose of concert rock was the raw power of Thin Lizzy followed by the over the top bombast of Queen. Phil Lynott and John Deacon. Life was never the same.

In the last 5-10 years Marcus Miller would be on the list. I kept hearing people talk about Marcus, but had no awareness of him. I just happened to look up his tour dates and he was in town that week. It was during the Afrodezia tour. Seemed to be a great musician and band leader. Great night. My wife said it was her one of her favorite concerts she has ever attended.

ooh hard to pick. So many fun shows I've been to.

Would it be my first show I went to as a teen, seeing the Mighty Mighty Bosstones (my first non classical concert, and my first Ska show, I was a huge ska kid at the time).

Getting to see Maynard Ferguson finally when in college? Or after his death, the tribute show with tons of huge names (Dennis Diblasio, Bobby Shew, Roger Ingram, Adolfo Acosta, etc.)

U2's 360 Tour. So visually cool, and another one of those finally got to see a band I've loved forever.

Tower of Power, seen them live a couple of times and has always been amazing, but I got to see an intimate performance from just the horn players at a music shop in Boston.

Finally getting to see my fav. band from highschool, the Aquabats, in SLC once I was in college. We snuck down to their green room and got to meet several of them until security kicked us out haha. They were so cool, and Crash is a killer bassist and all around nice guy.

The time a drunk girl kept grinding up against me while I was there with my wife. I would try to move away, but drunk girls be drunk girls. She bumped into me again, hit my hand, and then yelled at me for grabbing her butt. Um, lady, you've been bumping into me. My wife was ready to throw fists with her and she finally left. So yeah that was memorable.

Seeing bands like Muse and Metallica that put on really cool visual stuff.

Blue Man Group's rock complex tour in 2003. My brother worked for the radio and got us VIP meet and greet tickets and got to meet the blue men, while in full costume, but they weren't in character. I was (and still am) a big fan so that was really cool.

Other memorable gigs.... Kula Shaker when I walked into Bez and he looked very angry. Hugh Masekela when I opened a door into his face. Roy Harper, when I trod on his toe. The time Sonia Kristina complemented me but I had no idea who she was. The time I talked to Kristin Hersh about sheep.

Not my first concert but, Rush, Moving Pictures Tour. Camped out at our local music(Albums, cassettes), store overnight. Drank a lot too. Back then it was first come first served for tickets. I got seventh row, on the floor, right in the middle. They opened with 2112. Great.

No 1. Terry Reid Trio / followed by the Moody Blues / followed by two hours of Cream in their 1969 farewell tour. Might have been this tour that kept Terry Reid from becoming the lead singer for Led Zeppelin. Bought his album soon after.

No. 2. Paul Butterfield Blues Band / followed by Joe Cocker & the Grease Band / followed by Janis Joplin. IMHO Butterfield blew Cocker & Joplin away. Cocker trumped Joplin. 1969

I've had several memorable ones. Honorable mention goes out to any of the Tower of Power concerts I went to (6 in all) from 1974 to 1979. They kicked my butt and inspired me!

However, I must say, this one really stands out. Being 15 and being here was fantastic. It was also within walking distance from my house. The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Buffett (all in their prime) at Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City Junior College on May 1st, 1976. I had quite a few other memories stemming from this one. One of the more strange instances to happen that day, was the inebriated (we think it was only that) guy who climbed one of the canopy towers during the Eagles set and jumped on it while they were in mid song. Oh boy..

Dude! I was there too! Awesome concert and as you said, very inspiring. My friends and I had walked up the left-side bleachers to get a better view of the goings-on behind the band and that's when that guy climbed up the tower and did that somersault onto the canopy. The Eagles were all looking up and kinda freaking out but didn't lose their time, lol. Glad the dude didn't roll off the edge of the canopy, but I also bet he never made that move.... the "Security" folks kinda worked him over when he finally climbed down.

Slade, Beach Boys, Gentle Giant, Dianna Ross, and Bob Seager....all in the 70's. Haven't been to a concert since.

I also saw Jaco with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, etc @ Berkeley Jazz Festival one year. They closed one night and Weather Report the other, if I'm remembering correctly. Dizzy Gillespie & Mose Allison & Sonny Rollins too. I remember the nasty sunburn I got as much as anything...

I forgot a bunch in my first post. 5th row center Pink Floyd in '94. Plasmatics... Metallica S&M v1. Muddy Waters in a bar, had drinks with him & Otis Spann. Probably still too young to be in bars ATT.
