Your Most-Wanted Rare Feature on a Bass

whammy/floyd rose. I guess a whammy bar isn't the most rare thing on a bass, as it's been done, but I'd like to try one out sometime.

i know warwick offers them (whammy bars) through their custom shop..

i went into a local guitar shop where the guy does mods and has a good rep and i asked him about a whammy bar on my bass and he told me to buy a guitar

Lined fretless basses that have the side dots located UNDER the fretlines, not in-between them. I've had to custom-order three fretlesses to have this as no one does it, but the side dots between the lines are useless to me.

no kidding. i asked a guy at a music store if he made custom speaker cables. he said yes. i asked him to make me a heavy guage 4 foot cable with speakon connectors. he proceeded to hand me a $7 ,12', light guage peice of junk cable off the shelf. i said "you dont understand. i want a short, thick cable thats made right" . he said the cheap cable was good enough. i responded with "goodbye, im going to guitar center". dont tell me not to buy something from you. idiot.

Design a bass that has a quick release pickup system that exits the back of the bass, and accomadates various types/manufacturers pickups with a pin/contact system that's configured to an industry standard. The snap in pickup "docking" module would be slightly larger than the hole facing the front of the bass, so it would look totally traditional from the front.
Maybe do the same thing with the pre-amp in the control cavity.

This way a player could switch pickups "on the fly" if wanted. Or just carry two of three basses instead, yeah never mind.
