That's the first thing that would come to mind for me if I went to move one and it weighed twice as much as usual.
Good choice. Hard to go wrong with that cabinet. I've had mine for almost 10 years and it isn't going anywhere.

It makes sense that a dude that owns a rare unicorn like the Trace Elliot V8 would be smart enough to use it with a Berg 610!
Ampeg PR810H. Looks to have two horns and looks like two 410he cabs stacked.. 131db and 212lbs!!!

You can if you want, but if you glue it properly no fluids should leak out. You wouldn't need too much lime to prevent leakage really, but it could help. The truth is, you should save your lime for when you bury the body, unless you plan to leave the body in the cabinet for a long time, but that would just be weird.
Ya, I'm going to assume he prefers other cabs. But he uses an Ampeg head, so I can't yell at him too much.

8x10 suck donkey bits for carrying rooms. Whatever y'all want to do with them that makes space for cabs with dispersion is fine by me.
as with pretty much any bass guitar cabinet in existence, they weren't designed to carry a room.

Right none of those are 810's. Its an opinion thread right? In my opinion some one that is going to play a 400 watt tube amp would be better served by one of those cabs. In. My. Opinion.

Tell you what, for the longest time I didnt really care for ampeg amps. Thought they were not for me. Turns out I didnt care for the 810e that ever shop had them all plugged into. I get why others really dig the tone of that cab and have used one a lot, but for me I find my tone elsewhere. Again in my opinion the cab you use has more to do with the tone you get than the amp.
Now I really want to try one of these new V4b reissues with my faital loaded DuallyT.
I had a 70's SVT head and flatback 810 back in the day. It sounded good. I think a lot of it was having the speakers up near my ears. Today I use a pair of 210s stacked vertically. Also sounds good, not as much volume, way easier to move.
IMO cabs for stage tone are not critical anyway since the PA speakers carry the bass into the room.

It's funny, reading talkbass one would think that most people use 3 way fEarful type cabs, and light weight heads. But I have never seen either of them on a stage in the real world. What I do see is a whole lot of Ampeg SVT/810 combos, and GK 1001rb,700rb/810 combos.
The first time I actually saw a fEarful cab in person was in used section of my local Guitar Center with a $900 price tag on it.

Well to be fair, I think you saw a Dually, which isnt a fEARful. To boot, that particular GC is full of scum bags that pirated the 3015's out of the cab and put some cheap crap in their place.
I toured for 8 years with peaveys version of a 810. I got it new for like 500 bucks. Great cab, and can take a beating.

I owned a Peavey 810TX for a while. Pretty good sounding cab, not sad with the cabs I have moved to though.

It was a 1515/66 fEarful in Clear Lake Texas. I got a really good look at it. It may be possible that they swapped the speakers out for something else, but if it happened at all, I would find it much more probably that the original owner swapped the speakers out before he traded it in.

Oh I thought you were referencing a Dually that has been in GC in texas for a while. Appologies.
