I started using a flat back ampeg 810 smaller cab but much heaver and more awkward to move. Sounded different more tubby and organic, super sweet.

Oh I thought you were referencing a Dually that has been in GC in texas for a while. Appologies.
Not for everyone.
Are you talking about this one ?
Its in the big Houston store on Westhimer. I rarely go to that GC as there are two much closer to me.

The one I saw was definitely a 1515/66, It was only there for a couple of weeks before someone bought it.
Yep thats the one!
Shame what they did to that cab.
I would be inclined to think that the original owner probably did it. Knowing that GC wouldn't give him half of what the cab was worth he swapped the speakers out with some junk he had laying around and traded it in. I mean, the average GC employee wouldn't be able to tell what a 3015lf looks like from just looking at it, and I doubt they would remove the speaker to check.
For the record, I would have had no idea that was the incorrect speaker in that cab if you wouldn't have said so. I might make a trip up to that GC and ask the manager if he would be willing to pull a speaker so they know the cab is bogus. In a perfect world they would have the speakers replaced, but they would probably leave it as is with the same asking price. Someone is going to take a bath on that one.
well that cab doesnt use 3015LF's, 3015's or faitals.
There was someone over in the S/D thread that went to go play that cab and it dissapeared for a couple of days and showed up with new drivers in it. I do not think that the seller did anything to the cab.
Regardless, it is way over priced as the drivers that are in there are not a good fit with the porting.
