It must've been shortly after I got back to work, because I had to return the VTBass>MicroBassII board I had going on. The FV-500H and the TU-2 I've had for a while I guess. The Torn's Peaker was fresh out of the box for that pic too.

And with my first (and certainly not the last) acquisition for the "various distortions" section of the plan. The P&C didn't really last too long since it didn't have quite enough gain compared to what I wanted:
With my 2nd ever Attack Goat, and Wounded Paw mixer. If you're looking for a 4 channel active mixer, I recommend the WP. I got 2 outputs on mine so I can monitor AND record out of it with no latency problems
And then with the XXL. Another pedal doomed from the start....
Now this thing is growing. A little out of control I think. But I guess that's what happens when you have a
WAY HUGE SWOLLEN PICKLE

Finally added the much needed 6-loop strip and the ABY, as well as the PP2+ power supply that still powers everything including the GT-10B....

At this point I also pull the trigger on the biggest part of my board, the GT-10B. I basically chose it over a bunch of custom stuff, and its turned out to be a good thing, since I don't use filters in my current setup and such. Plus it was the cheaper, more cost effective route:
At this point I still had space for one more fuzz, and IIRC was hoping to pick up a Noisebox. Much to my chagrin, that didn't happen till way late in the game.....
I then added 2 much needed volume pedals
Then came the big step of replacing my "excurting sub" board with something that would add the "right" harmonics and make my sound that much more "saturated" sounding:
The Prototype Tentacle Love Super Fuzz. Again, one of the pedals that ended up being doomed. I just sold it actually, in an hour
, so I can't really complain. Fun pedal. Kudos to

At this point the Prunes&Custard had left me as well. It had some cool vibe, just not the right one for me tho. After listing the Peaker for a while I decided to try it as one of the fuzzes, and even tho it didn't work the same in the FX loop of the GT, it still sounded sloppy on the right settings and became a keeper

At this point I added a Huckleberry v2. It was a quick decision, and by this time I had given up on having a Noisebox in there. The XXL was tossed aside, not to make room for a Noisebox, but a tone shaper instead....
And that tone shaper? I wanted a submarine, but ended up going with a ParaEQ from Empress. Im glad I did, since the sub is really meant to keep lows (which I kill on the fuzz side of things) rather than being an EQ. I actually use the ParaEQ to kill more lows and enhance some of the highs for a sparser, lo-fi telephone type tone....
Then came the death knell for the lunchbox, and the TLSF in particular. I basically got tired of setting up 3 boards with SO many wires. So I experimented around with the bi-amping in the GT and basically split it left and right stereo. Bass on one side, fuzz on the other. Boost->tube amp sim gave me the extra saturation harmonics I needed, and so I reorganized things. Cut out a couple of wires, and when I got it on a board, I really only have 3 wires to worry about, not the 6+ I had previous....
And my plan on paper for the programming on the GT, for this new setup:
Well, I finally decide to get a damn board for the fuzzes/volume pedals, and this is how it turned out (and has stayed for the most part). One thing I had been toying with, after finding out that Subdecay sold direct, was if I could get the ParaEQ out of the looper I would have space for one. Turned out that having the EQ out and positioned like I do made it easier for cable routing. The 2nd level is a godsend too. It basically has 2 openings under it. The PP2+ is under the right hand one, and I keep a cable attached to the ParaEQ under the left one. Makes it way easier for setup. Just hook up the 2 ends from the fuzz board to the GT, the L/R outs on the GT to the volume pedals, and the output from the mixer to either my amp, or now, my headphone setup. Bass goes to GT input and BAM, done. Physically its 6 wires all told, but for connecting the 2 boards its only really like 3. 6 ends (= 3 cables) are the 4 on the GT (FX send/return, left/right outputs) and 2 on the fuzz side (the volume pedals).
And finally! I add a Noisebox. This marks the END of my bi-amp evolution:
For now, I've been experimenting around with a headphone/practice board and for a while it consisted of my TU-2, Earwig, TLSF and XXL. I basically decided the other day (and sold my TLSF at that point) that I just wanted something I could put beside the GT+fuzz stuff to monitor thru headphones and something simple to practice with. Nothing fancy, and no need for dirt or anything else. Right now it is just the TU-2 and Earwig, but I will be adding a LMB-3 pretty soon just to protect my headphones from excurting.
So ya. I guess that is actually my entire evolution over the year of 2009......
