Such a fine example of this, IMO, outstanding run of basses out of China.

I've thought about this, on and off, since the OP posted the thread. I won't bore you by citing dictionary definitions of "pretty", other than to say that they all stress "attractive/handsome/beautiful - in a delicate way". And, with that "delicate" in mind? After much thought - and looking closely at all of them - I've come to the conclusion that out of 23 of the things, I can't point to a single bass that I can honestly say is "pretty". I have some that are striking looking; some that are subtly beautiful, if you stare at them long enough; some that are just in-your-face gaudy; some that are... kinda odd, or interesting looking; and some that border on being sort of ugly. But, nothing that I'd consider "pretty". Sorry...:(
