I should have bought the guitar version of this when I had the chance.
I'm not that good on guitar, but I feel the same as you, Jeff.
The folly of youth.

It's a tough choice but I think I'm going for my custom built De Gier Soulmate. Candy Apple Red, dots & binding, lollipop tuners... Love it.

Kind of a Dick Dale Precision Bass. Marty Bell large metal flake gold finish. (Found this unloaded body here on TalkBass. Hard to believe but about a $750 bass guitar build.)

Having built a walnut jazz from Warmoth stuff, I just know this one needs a wide strap.
Cousins! One of my Marty Bell's is gold too. Yours is a beauty.Kind of a Dick Dale Precision Bass. Marty Bell large metal flake gold finish. (Found this unloaded body here on TalkBass. Hard to believe but about a $750 bass guitar build.)

I had that exact same Sterling back in the day, only minus the thumbrest (if that's what it is). I traded it for a Lakland Skyline Duck Dunn, which then morphed into a Skyline (forget the name, vintagey looking thing), which then morphed into a Reverend ThunderGun.Feb 1994 Musicman SterlingView attachment 4381078
thanks! yea, amazing color. very trendy 2021 flat car colorNice! G&L's revisiting it's original template (CLF Research) is great. Probably the most authentic RI's this side of the 1st Fender Tele Bass. Great colour too!![]()

That's why I said tough choice But yeah the 66 is also veeeeeery pretty.I like the retro inspired hs - cool bridge too. A very nice bass but prettier than your '66 J?

Wonder if your Sterling is that same Sterling I had...
