your progression on amps

I know some of the people here have gone through more gear than your everyday music store. I was wondering what kinda of gear have all of you gone through to find what your looking for, or for the volume you needed.

so far fro me it was
fender side kick 15 (came with bass)
peavey mark III combo
peavey mark III combo with 1810
peavey mark III head and 1810
peavey Tmax 1810
peavey tmax peavey tvx 412

as you can see I am a big peavey fan. good tone great price great reliability

A small RMS 15 watt combo
Rogue 30 watt combo
1960's Kustom 3x15 and 200 watt PA head all in tuck and roll
Bought a 70's solid state ampeg and sunn preamp.
Switched the Kustom out with a Peavey 4x10.
Bought a Traynor YB1 bass master tube amp
Switched over to an SWR Workingman's 8x10 tower
Destroyed the Traynor so I had to use a Sovtek MIG 100 for a little over 2 weeks. Shortly after I bought Behringer's solid state head.
Sold the behringer and bought a Hartke 2000.
Because the Hartke was the first rack mountable, I also got a Korg 1000 tuner and an Art PB4 power consitioner.
The Hartke went out, so now I just ordered a BBE solid state preamp and the new Behringer Europower 1500 (I think).

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my current cabs are the SWR Son of Bertha and the Goliath JR. III
All within the last 10 years.
This also doesn't include my uprights or my electrics.

Wow..I bet I'll forget a few, but here is what I remember:

Fender vibro champ guitar amp (didnt take long to blow that up with a bass, but wth, I was 12)

Fender Bassman 50 w 2/12 cab (great amp..but only 50 watts)

Kustom 200 "tuck and roll" with 215 cab

Fender Studio Bass combo (great all tube combo....1 15 speaker)

Acoustic 220 w Acoustic 215 cabinet

(15 year break here...worked weekends so couldnt gig)

Peavey 300 combo (the sound of ass, amplified)

Trace Elliot 12 band, 300 watt combo, with 4 10s

Eden WT 400 with Musicman 212

same Eden with 2 Eden 210 XLT

same Eden head with Eden 410 T

EBS Fafner (unreliable and not half as good sounding as was "advertised") with Eden 410 T

GK1001RBII with an Aguilar GS212

Mesa Boogie 400+ with Bergantino NV610 (This rig is the best BY FAR of all I've tried. The Eden was great, but doesn't have near the power this one does. The NV610 is THE cabinet for the type of music I'm doing now and the all tube Mesa sounds fantastic)

in the five years that i've been playing bass:

samick 15W practice amp (still got it, never use it)
peavey mark III head & 18" homebrew speaker
peavey mark III head & trace elliot 4x10"
trace AH350smx head & trace 4x10"
trace v-type head & trace 4x10"

atm i've got a trace 2x12" that i haven't tried out yet because its not where the rest of my gear is, but that one might replace the 4x10". oh, and i might buy a V8 this evening :)

Right when I very first started bass, i had this unamed 20watt amp. Had about 4 dials on it. Ok so ill list what I have had and got now:

20 Watt unamed amp
55 Watt Vox combo
150 Watt TE commando 15(use it for practices)
300 Watt TE Ah300-7(Use now)
325 Watt TE 4x10h (Use now)
325 Watt TE 4x10 (Use now)

Crate practice amp, then Roland B-18 Chorus bass amp (neverseen another), moved and sold the Roland, the bigger p.o.s Crate, moved and sold the p.o.s. Crate.

Then I got smart and bought a Trace Eliot 1x15 Combo. That was 12 years ago, and it's the only amp I've owned since then.
