Your Signature Bass?

Mine would be a Fender American vintage 62 jazz in sunburst with some modifications.
Add nordstrand nj4svs pickups instead of stock.
I want that alnico sound but with the hum. =)
I'll keep the vol/tone vol/tone controls but with series/ parallel switches for each pickup.
Keep the neck dimensions the same while adding the graphite support rods and add a cream bound fingerboard with pearl blocks.
Vintage tuners can stay just add a drop d tuner.
And the thumbrest in the 70s position.
Don't new the ashtrays or the mutes. =P

I'd never need another bass.. *sighs*

Yep, another one. If you could have your own signature bass, what would it be like. Be as descriptive as you want.

I would want an Ibanez SR signature bass.

Woods: Alder body w/ flamed maple top. Wenge/bubinga 5-piece neck.

For the neck finish, some automotive polyurethane with a spray bomb satin poly over, wetsanded smooth. Matching body color, of course.

Construction: Neck-through, graphite bars in the neck. Two-way double-action truss rod.

Pickups/electronics: Two SD3 Neo Humbuckers , Volume knob, 3-way rotary switch, active preamp with no onboard EQ controls, just an active/passive switch. No tone control.

Other: 5-string

This thing would rock

Rickenbacker Body, neck-thru body, maple neck. German Hofner Staple pickup at the neck, P bass split pickup in the middle and by the bridge, a Rickenbacker Toaster. All with tone knobs, volume knobs, parallel/series, and master blend. P-up selector.

Mine would probably be nothing special to the average player, a passive Fender P with added J pickup at the bridge (not something I would normally use, but its' nice to have), rosewood fb on a P style neck, blocked and bound, LP blue with matching headstock. As for what type of pickup, prob Basslines, something passive, not sure exactly. Of course, the badass bridge would be necessary. Like I said, kinda generic, but it's what I'm into.

If I was offered to have my own signature jazz model by Fender, the only changes I would make would be to have a wenge fingerboard, '70s position bridge pickup, split coil pickups and 500k pots. All proceeds would have to go to public school music education.

2 Crown XLS 1000 Power Amps Driving 2 Ampeg Heritage 8 10 both running bridged mono(1100w x2)
With Custom Tie-die Grills on the ampegs

Probably exactly what I have right now in my 5 string except:

It'd have a proper brass bridge with intonation screws and saddle screws at the front.

And probably an Ash body instead of alder for the sake of weight distribution.

I would have a warwick streamer body shape with either a blue or green burst finish. 4 Strings, maple fretboard with 24 frets. Jazz pickup near neck, P right behind it, and MM-style humbucker with coil splitting near the bridge. 3-band eq, individual switches for each pickup, and an active/passive switch with a standard tone pot. Comfort and extreme versatility!

If anyone knows the Mike Dirnt sig. bass from fender ('51 p bass body with a hot rod split humbucker pickup) thats basically it only add a proper musicman style humbucker in the bridge position (just like a 2002-2007 american deluxe p bass but with the '51 body) give it some active electronics and a maple fretboard, cherry red and that's pretty much it!
