check out the Hartke VXL pedal - its like the sansamp BDDI, but cheaper...

It has a good DI too

If you've got the dough, the Countryman Type 85 is da kine. Period.

i second (or third) a vote for the countryman85. it's a great basic di that is virtually indestructable. gives a good uncolored sound coming out of your bass. and nothing to tweak on it. plug and play.

If you just want a basic DI to send your signal to the board, then STAY AWAY from the "preamp" DI's like the sansamp and hartke vxl's etc. etc.

Just get a DI, not a preamp. As said above, you can't go wrong with a used Countryman or Radial. They are second to none, and decently priced used.
