Your Very First CD!

what was your very first cd/tape/whatever!! that you every got or recieved....for me....however sad as it sounds was the...."Spice Girls"....but i quickly moved out of that phase, mainly because i was very young and moved into some good stuff...thank god.

so what was yours?

as a young child... "Please Mr Postman" by the Carpenters on 45
a little older... "Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang on 8-track
as a pre teen... "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath on vinyl (and recorded to cassette)

My first CD was an 8 for a penny deal the month or 2 before I actually upgraded (my Dad had a killer HK setup with a new CD player so I started buying CDs for that)

My first 45 record: Mr Jaws (Dr. Demento) and Elton John's "Benny and the Jets"... given to me while visiting a family friend. I was 5.

First LP was the Star Wars original score soundtrack double LP. Still have it. I was 6.

First music cassette: I believe it was the Police's Ghost in the machine, but feel it may have been a John Denver album that was in a tape player I was gifted some time before.

My first CD was eiter Jellyfish's "Bellybutton", or Skinny Puppy's "Rabies".

First MP3 given was Springsteen's Thunder road a few years (5-6 maybe?) back, as I had to learn it on the quick.
