Your Very First CD!

I don't recall the order but the first two albums (vinyl!) were
The Best of The Guess Who
Who's Next
I still enjoy both of them although on CD these days.

First single was Bungle in the Jungle by Jethro Tull. I don't think I bought many more.

First album was Aerosmith- Toys in the Attic.
First CD was Mercyful Fate- Melissa
First cassette was either Frampton Comes Alive or Foghat Live.

my mum bought me the K-Tel 20 original hits by 20 original artist compilations when I was really young... I remember I had one with "Blockbuster" by The Sweet and I loved that song... "Goodbye To Jane" by Slade was on one, I loved those albums, I listened non-stop...

I didn't buy my first CDs until I was nine since I had a stepfather (classic rock and soul) and a neighbor (blues and jazz) that let me play their records all the time.

But I distinctly remember the three CDs I bought the day I started my own record collection:

Blue Train - John Coltrane

Life's Rich Pageant - R.E.M.

Graceland - Paul Simon
