Yussef Dayes featuring Rocco Palladino

I'm still on these guys. When we saw them last June, they played a version of Turquoise Galaxy about like this one, with Elijah Fox doing the huge volume swells on the keys, and it was awesome.

This was a great video. Aside from the great music, it has reignited my interest in visiting Japan. They seem to have a super cool music culture over there.

I bought Black Classical Music on CD, listened to it once at home, seemed like there were a lot of quiet bits (field recordings?) - today I had a 90 minute drive and had found the CD, so threw it in. Really enjoyed it! Not nearly as "quiet" as I remembered. My fave tracks are Magnolia Symphony (the string quartet piece on track 8) and Tioga Pass (track 18) which I am pretty sure includes Magnolia Symphony! Even threw it on for part of the return trip.
