Z06 Vs. GTR

Personally id rather go for an Ariel Atom, probably faster than both of the cars round a proper track, a fraction of the price and more like a proper racing car.

Lotus elise then. You can pick up a nice mk1 used for about 9 grand I think these days
You're not gunna be able to mod the GTR very much, and what little mods you will be able to do are gunna be only available from the dealer and very expensive. The problem with most import motors is that they don't handle the extra power that well (not saying they dont, just not very well). The Z06 on the other hand was built with potential in mind. The LSx motors are very potent and can handle a lot of power while still being reliable. GM has also had many years to perfect the LSx platform though. I just love the fact after all these years, America is still kickin ass with good ol pushrod V8's
Not necessarily. There are already a couple tuning shops that have "unlocked" the the GTR's ECU. The new VR38 is built from the ground up to take tons of power. Look at the last engine the GTR had...the RB26: 2.6liters straight-six that could easily handle around 600whp on stock internals, over 1000 with upgraded internals. The new engine has a lot of forged parts, and is probably just as capable of handling extra power. As a matter of fact, almost all of Nissan's turbo engines can handle way more than their factory output. The SR20 being a prime example. So can the CA18, the RB20, the RB25, etc. There are also plenty of VQ35s running around that can handle insane hp numbers once they've gone to forged internals.
I've seen several LSXs get blown up at at under 600whp. They're decent engines but they're not perfect.

I dont see the engine itself being the weak point of this car by any means. FFS it is a twin turbo 3.8L built by cosworth. The issue the car will have regarding making buku power from my understanding is the fact that there is very very little room in the engine bay for bigger fire snails. But, where there is a will there is a way. It won't be cheap but it'll be done.
I for one am curious to see what the stock snailed GiTteRdun will be able to do.
If you have any doubts on the capabilities of some of the 'import motors' I suggest checking out what the EVO/dsm guys are doing with their 2.0L turbo cars, then there are the mk4 wannabe guido supra snobs who will be more then happy to show you a dyno sheet of their car, list of mods, how much they make a year and a half naked picture of their supposed ex.
Point being, power potential is not an issue with either car by a long shot.

Corvette all the way. I love every generation that's come out and this is no different. Hell, I'll take two.
I chose GTR simply because it looks badass (especially the lower front body kit). Kinda like those fully upgraded/packed Mitsubishi Lancer Evos, I like those things too.

IMO, Evo X's look like giant chinese food take-out boxes.
Nissan is a little better then the Evo X styling wise, but I still think its ugly Oh well, everyone has different tastes..

I didn't like that type of design before, but I somehow grew into them. I don't know why. Maybe it's because the new 2008 Camry's are TOO UGLY!!!!

in the actual tuner community people laugh at cars with vinyls.
Doesn't make me change my mind the tinniest bit. I was planning on getting an Audi A4 next year, but now I'm leaning more and more towards getting a cheaper car and make it stand out (like picture above, but not THAT obnoxious)

that's buying a carbon copy vinyl inspired by the fast and the furious....
simple is the stripework on the dodge. The decals on the Dodge would be the stripe and the part that informed you it was a Dodge...
