Hello all! This would be my first thread on the forums. I hope this is not redundant but I am interested Zaolla Silverline Cables. I would like to see what people have to say About using them. I get a wonderful deal on Mogami stuff but will happily jump if it's sonically worth it. I would like to see more first hand experience and less skepticism as well. Peace and Thanks -_-

Zaolla are good cables. Hosa owns Zaolla. I use Mogami Gold. Personally, I think unless you are using crap cables there is very little sonic difference. Mogami is not a crap cable. Zaolla is not a crap cable. Monster is not a crap cable. See what I mean?


Stick with Mogami.

Well I just got done testing a Mogami Platinum and a Zaolla Artist 500. Holy crap you can hear a significant difference. Waayyyyy more so than if you went from a crappy copper cable to the Mogami Platinum. There was a boosted presence and top end it seemed with the pure silver cable. Bass players dream cable guys.

Dude, instead of insulting people ( who most likely make more money than you AND have better gear than you) why don't you try using the "Search" feature and see what people have to say about high end cables? There are even soundclicks of different cables for you to "Blind" test. I have A/B'ed many, many cables and although I disagreed with the general consensus around here that most of the high end cables are a rip off, I agree with it now.


You say there is a difference? Prove it. Otherwise you're just another internet know it all.

Honestly, my initial reaction to the OP is...'shill'.

And, after looking at his/her profile and equipment list...if (s)he can afford to spend that kind of money on cables (and given the equipment listed there, apparently (s)he can), good for you. Not everyone can tho, and so a +1 to Floyd's comment -

I do have the money, and I have a table full of super-high-end cables, and frankly it's BS. The OP doesn't understand how capacitance works, and the fact that he resorts to childish insults shows that he can't be taken seriously.

I appreciated your initial response Floyd. I would imagine you have not tried it yourself. So instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt. You jump right in with the Koolaid Statement. I'm new to the forums and I have avoided this community for responses like that. It is my opinion I could do a recording and it would be alittle more open for debate I guess. I had never heard of them untill 2 weeks ago. All I am saying is don't disrespect my post. I specifically asked for first hand experience with the cables. Pure silver is 7% less resistant than copper.

It was meant to be funny, not insulting. I seriously recommend doing a search here before spending all that money. Bongo is a man who takes this **** very seriously and he has done a lot of research about high end cables ( and his compressor website is top notch). I suggest finding some of those threads.


Bottom line is if you think it makes that much of a difference and you got the cash, go ahead and buy them. I'll be sticking with the Mogami's.

What say you post a few pics of you playing your Warwicks through some of your non-crappy Hellborg gear using your Zaolla cables. In the meantime, I'll just keep playing my crappy Eden, Aguilar and Glockenklang rigs through my hand-made Bullum cables because I can't afford any decent ones.

Shills don't do well here at TB.

I use Zaolla Silverline cables. I have (6) six inch patch cables, a 2 foot cable, a 25 foot cable, and a 20 foot cable. After A/B'ing a ton of cables in the studio and doing blind tests they always won. It's a game of inches and I'll leave it at that.

Personally, I enjoy them and Alessandro High End speaker cables.

Appreciate the feedback Dialog. I spent a few hours testing just a 15 ft instrument cable. I plan on getting balanced TRS-TRS for my preamplifier to poweramplifiers. As well as 2 5 foot speaker cables. I would imagine that even though they are silver once your past 20 feet the signal dies off. I had to sell most of my old equipment plus a car to get my amp rig. So I am not loaded by any means but I have some cash to spare from all my craigslist ventures. I am a fan of anything that has a desirable affect on the pure tone. No matter the cost. These cables are worth it.

Glad you like them. How do they compare to Lava? I ask because I was able to compare Lava to Monster to Bayou to Whirlwind in a double blind test, and they were all painfully close. I moved from Monster to Bayou based on other aspects of performance(feel, handling). The Whirlwind Leader was the real standout of the day, admittedly.

Please Google "high end speaker cables" and see what you may learn. Short version: in blind tests, nobody can tell the difference between a length of coat hanger wire, and the world's most ultimate boutique speaker cables. Secondly, for instrument cables, please do yourself a favor and check out low-capacitance cables such as Elixir, and medium-low cap ones such as DiMarzio and Lava Magma. You will save yourself a lot of money, while getting equal or better results. The fact that you say "I would imagine that even though they are silver once your past 20 feet the signal dies off" tells the rest of us everything we need to know about where you are at with your understanding of how cables work--so please, do some homework before getting defensive about the high-priced item you bought.

It's all good Bongo. I like the sound. That's all that matters now. I can try to find the time soon to do a recording. In the mean time i will look into the cables you mentioned. No need to try to jump the band wagon and try to "put me in my place" so to speak. Thanks for your input.
