I think that's not fuzz. It's more like overdrive. There's a difference between fuzz, OD and distortion. It does have a good range.

Yeah, but it gets fuzzy at the nether ends of weight control. It's like a fuzzy overdrive but it's called a distortion on their page. I just like that it can fuzz out while still being clanky. It reminds me of an Orange or even my MarkIV Peavey being cranked.

just arrived and i compared it to my Broughton Scorpion:

my initial impression is that they are VERY similar. The Scorpion's depth control can add a lot more low end than the Zoar's weight control but i don't ever need to dime it on the Scorpion (or it'll get too flubby). I also think that the Scorpion is a little more punchy but i haven't spent that much time with both of them to see which one i prefer (but so far the Scorpion is a bit more to my liking) and do like the Zoar's relayed bypass.
