Zoom B1Xon Settings Thread...... OMG

I think the only difference is the exp pedal. I love my B1Xon for bedroom practice.
"X" means expression pedal, and the B1on and the B1 are different devices. The B1 (and BX1) are earlier models. I had the B1 - it was almost unusable, for me, YMMV. I have the B1Xon and while it is more usable than the B1, ToneLib makes it a *LOT* more usable. Most of the presets are useless, they're really just there to show you the capabilities, but deleting those and creating new ones through the pedal interface is a nightmare, very time consuming. ToneLib makes that part really easy - ridiculously easy.

Okay as promised, I will be posting some of my best patch ideas from the zoom b3 here on this thread. I will start off with one of the best bass distortion patches I've ever came up with. this patch is loosely based on the ebs metaldrive. it has a medium grit with natural compression and tight low-end. and since you can add more effects on the zoom b1on/b1xon, I'll add some things that I couldn't be able to do with the zoom b3.

Modern bass distortion

znr: thresh: 17, detect: efxln, level: 90

M comp: thresh: 20, ratio: 5, level: 100, attack: 7

Metal zone: gain: 25, tone: 50, level 100, balance: 18

svt: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 2, midfq: 250hz, gain: 40, level: 40, ultra: low, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50

Probably nearly 2 years now of using my little B1on. I don't use much but the noise limiter and tuner honestly, but every once in a while I'll use it for a specialty purpose. (I got a hell of a close match to the weird synthy thing on Katy Perry's Roar actually! It's weird to play, but sounds pretty darned close.)

Anyway, I was just thinking - I've already forgotten the name of the "unofficial" program that lets you offload and upload patches, but it seems to me that storing a bunch of Crystalman85's patches to a publically-downloadable file that we can upload directly (rather than having to futz with the settings to reproduce them) would be awfully handy. (Assuming such doesn't exist already!)

Actually, it would be a wise man who overwrote ALL the presets with these since, as has been said before, they're 99% unusable weird noises. I think I've a total of like 5 patches I actually have EVER used, and those all home-brewed.

As for the B1on itself, I know it's cheap and plastic, but it's worked flawlessly for me for going on 2 years now. I typically just set it atop my amp and hand-switch it though so I guess I'm pretty gentle with it. Never had a need for the pedal but I'm sure the B1Xon is even better.

You're in luck - the latest version of ToneLib has online patch sharing. I haven't tried it out, but there's some details here: Guide: How to use Patch Sharing Service
