Double Bass Zyex medium vs. light

Ok...they've settled in a bit, looking someone that brightness/boing. People are right....these do sound better with a little time! My hands are bandage free, and I've been building up strength and some stamina...SLOWLY after the whole ulnar nerve/carpal tunnel two-step, but my left hand is infinitely happier!

They really, really sound and feel great on my bass! Beyond pleasantly surprised. They have a nice ping on the front end, and they are so deliciously gooey. Gobs and GOBS of growl! I didn't realize how much I would like a switch to a non-metal core string.
They have a gut-like sweetness to them; very hard to describe. Loads of warm fat bass. My bass has been smiling with a fuller tone since I took off the 3885 Spiros. I might try a medium Zyex G for sharts and giggles, but these are a really wonderful string. I'm a fan!
I am a very happy camper right now. I have 2 3-set jazz shows back to back this weekend....let's give them a few months and a Lotta boom boom, and I'll circle back.

I recently took off a set of Zyex light and put on a set of Kolstein Heritage. Had a gig yesterday and the bass sounded good (after a month) but I still miss the Zyex. The Zyex mediums didn’t feel too much different than the lights but my basses, one carved, on ply, seemed to sound more full with the lights.
