Here's another demo of the ULV112/ULV210 cabs with a Kinetix 800. Definitely different voices as pointed out by Nate in one of the official Genzler demos. For such a light and compact cab, the ULV112T hits way harder than its weight class. That low mid muscle and even tone is really impressive.

And do they also then cost half as much as the ones I'm looking at? Weight, as I said, is a factor but the cost is MUCH more of a factor.

That tone from Europe ‘97 has got to be roundwounds which I think is why I love it so much. I’ve got a wt550, and have been a Warwick guy for a long time.. though always lusting for a modulus or g. Gould because of Mike; either one will be my next bass for sure, especially if I can trade my Alembic epic for one.

As far as Enhance goes. Weirdly, when I had a Warwick with EMG soapbars this knob made it sound good (but got completely lost, as we’ve observed). However my latest love is this limited edition Streamette bass that has nordstrand pickups. It sounds incredible as it is, but when I add enhance the bass just sounds like poopie. I always keep ~500hz cranked 2 or 3 notches but I’ll have to crank it way up and try the enhance knob again.

I just played through friends 800 head and the drive doesn’t sound quite as bright through the same cab. It’s actually a pretty good sound. And yea, I have many drives to choose from my collection but, it’s nice to just grab and go with one box sometimes.

Re: MarkBass 15" cabs, I really haven't spent any time with them as I'm not a fan of the form factor of most 15s due to the size/bulk. Kind of clumsy for this old man. I'm more familiar with their 10s and 12s and I'm hesitant to recommend anything that might be considered "underwhelming" compared to your Mesa 2x15" cab which I'm sure is a killer unit.
That said, the Traveler 151p has gotten a lot of love historically. It's fairly compact for a 15" and handles 400 watts @8 ohms so it would work with your Genzler head.
It's the most traditional of the MarkBass cabs as it's still constructed of wood.
If I were buying "blind" I'd give that a chance. I'm sorry I can't be of more help on this one, Howie. I'd Google the cabinet and read people's experiences.

Markbass cabs are plentiful here, hence my question. Other brands like Mesa, there are little or no stock in NZ and Genzler is only found in one shop here so he doesn't have a lot of selection.

I've had the bass in the photo below in the classifieds since August 20th with zero bites. I counting the cost of the bass I have over $350 invested. I listed it for $250 delivered CONUS so considering the shipping is covered mi would be making maybe $150 on the sale.

Since there have been zero bites on it I've decided rather than drop the price and pretty much give it away here, I've contacted my sax player who is also a music teacher at local high school and asked him to help me locate a "needy" student who plays bass in their music program so I can give it to them.

I encourage the rest of you to invest in our youth by doing something similar to help the less fortunate music students. It’s the right thing to do.

They were experimenting all the time, and all early instruments are really one-off builds, and so you see the developments play out over time. The earliest instruments had humcancellers that they tucked in the control cavity with the preamp. The preamp was run preferably with the blue power supply box, or with two 9V batteries (which didn't last more than a few hours). The batteries were front-mounted, but then they found that a single humcanceller in the same plane between the pickups worked best, so the batteries got moved to the back of the instrument.
