Ummm, what the heck? Trace Elliot is back!?

Okay...now I am confused! (NOT difficult so I'm told)

What's going on? Thats definitely a new version of the site, and it looks as though someones gone to quite alot of trouble making it. :eyebrow:

The amps still look cool though, even after all these years. I'm starting to get all nostalgic...

[edit] Are those different amps to the ones I remember? The seven bands look nothing the one on my old GP7SM combo?

Well, what's confusing me is someone made a thread on here the other day saying that Trace was official pulled by Gibson and it was no more, i'd also heard way before that, that Gibson had no plans for continuing the Trace line.
Also, the Trace stuff used to be on the Gibson website, right or wrong?

So is this new stuff not a part of Gibson anymore (It also seems to be made back in England..).

Yes you are right. Trace was bought out by Gibson way back in 99. I had heard that they had been *ahem* quietly closed down four or five years ago.

Definitely don't recognise the amps tho. Are they newer Gibson era models, or do they look like older pre GP7 amps?

The logo next to the products says 2005.

To quote Waynes World

"Have you ever seen that scene in Scanners when that dudes head explodes".

Thats kind of how Im feeling right now.....

Well-This is good news. There is no mention of Trace Elliot on the Gibson site, which makes me think the "official" end of Trace Elliot was actually the selling of the Trace name and schematics, etc...
But to whom if so?
