Well, One of my fellow Bassworlders has found that the address for Peavey UK and Trace Elliot are now,one of the same.

Well, I will have to wait and see whats going on with Trace Elliot.

I will say if Clive Button is involved, we could see the return of the "real" Trace quality and sound. Clive also helped design alot of the Ashdown line.

Trace is alive? Please let it be!

No your not alone on that. The sites definately have a different look from each other.

This is sweet. I wish Trace would bring back the 1524 with the new sleek sweet Black design, with the port at the bottom and smaller instead of the huge side port they had. (if thats the right cab I'm thinking of.

Oh, and of course don't forget the V-Type preamp and the V Series tube amps. I'd no doubt buy a V4...

I think they're completely different as well. Lots of sites have similar layouts, that doesn't mean they're practially the same site or that they're affiliated.

Sorry, typing fast and not thinking. I meant that the actual contact addresses are the same for Peavey and TE.

The model #'s themselves are the same as the Gibson era products. The difference is in the appearance of the products. I have never seen Trace release a head or cab that looks like the ones on the "2005" site.

What really doesn't make sense is that there seems to be no fanfare associated with this website--and MusikMesse opened yesterday. What possible reason could they have for not promoting the "return" of Trace Elliot, unless this is a hoax?

I sincerely hope this is not a hoax. I also sincerely hope that:

1. The equipment is manufacturered in the UK or US
2. They bring back the V-Type Series
3. They make the cabinets out of plywood instead of MDF
4. They not f... it up this time.

I think I heard something about this awhile or so ago. If I recall this shop owners story correctly, Matamp, or Orange, or whichever two is the parent company, bought Trace Elliot from Gibson and was going to start producing them again. I'm only recalling what the shop owner told me, though.

I've never used any of their tube stuff, but I really like the SS combo I have. I don't use it anymore because it's got something wrong with it. I'd love a couple TE cabs though.
