PLEASE NOTE: These pictures are taken off the JAPANESE Ibanez website. Meaning these are the basses for their market. There could be more models unveiled at the Winter NAMM for the USA and other global markets. You can see the full lineup here;

Finally, a lefty that's not black!

that top bass there is sweet, i'd like a 4 string version of that.

i used to play a 4 string prestige that i loved with a drop d tuner on the bridge, thought i'd never sell that, but as all eventually do get dealt.

I got to play a low end Ibanez ($299) over the holidays. I still believe that dollar for dollar, they're the tops for action and playability. Don't know how they get the neck so thin...

Jayce,

I own an Ibanez RD300, which sells for about $500 down here in Australia. So I'm guessing it would be around $300ish in the States. Anywho, it remains one of the best basses I've played to this day. I actually play it more than my EBMM Stingray.

If that SR-5005E Prestige hits US shores 'n' stores, one will be mine.. cr*ppy economy be d*mned! :eek:

Beware, looks like it's going to be damned pricey. I'm hoping this is just crazy EU pricing and they will cost less for you guys in the States. A current (or backmodel now?) Prestige here in Australia will set you back about $2500. Same price as a Stingray. Anyway, Thomann has the SR-5005E priced at £1,697. So going off that price, and converting it to other currancies;

Britain: £1,697
USA: $2,586
Canada: $3,104
Australia: $3,677

Like I said, hopefully those figures are just on account of whacko EU pricing. If not, it looks like the global economy has had a severe effect on the Prestige pricing. For $3677 down here, I'm not sure that I'd be buying an Ibanez, as much as I love them. :hmm:

That's a joke for Prestige level instruments. We should be talking about J-Customs for that kind of cash.

that red paul gray signature and the white icb are giving me mad gas... getting in the way of my plans to get an ltd f-series or john moyer standard 4 as my next purchase... GAH!!!

Tell me about it. I was just about to buy a fretless Fender MIJ Jazz. Now I'm GASing all over these new Ibanez's! And I know there will be even more GAS to come, Winter NAMM hasn't even started yet.

The SRX 725 has a mahogany body & maple/walnut neck thru and they paint it black!!!!??? I wonder who decides the colors at Ibanez, probably a gothic/black/thrash metal hardcore fan :D
