Apparently I'm in too. Having an enthusiastic builder who's excited to do something new and different, I'm getting frequent photo updates already...even without any box construction yet! Yesterday I got a photo of the ply in the back of his truck... ;)

We tried an F1 with my 15/6/1 cab (not a fEarful, but pretty danged close) at a GTG a while back. I also tried the Shuttle 6.0 with the same cab at another GTG. They both worked fine, and I could easily gig with either one, but I preferred the Shuttle by a little.

I didn't really get to wring either one out much though. Personally, I would start at 500 watts@ 8 ohms at the minimum, which is where I'm currently at for gigging. But I am a very soft player by nature, and it typically takes a lot more power to keep me happy than most people go with.

I finally was able to try one of these cabs (and LDS 15/6.5 based on Greenboy's design and Passinwind's crossover). WONDERFUL! Fat, smooth, warm, and a unique combination of both 'tight and deep' (i.e., real bass extension without any boom). VERY nice design, and Don did a very nice job with the cab execution IMO.

confused.. you like the shuttle but would start at 500 watts at 8 ohms at minimum. Doesn't the shuttle push 375 at 8 ohms? Do you think this is too little to push this cab?

I was actually quite surprised at the wump this cab put out using my MB F1. Yes, I had to turn the master up more than on my 4ohm 410's, but it didn't feel compressed or 'underpowered'. This cab design is an uusual (IMO and IME) combination of big lows but also relatively high SPL's.

That being said, I had the feeling the cab could take a LOT of power, and that, for example, a bridged Eden WT800 or a bridged Hartke LM1000 (or possibly the new Epifani PS1000, that also bridged big power into 8ohms) would really set the cab free.

I unfortunately didn't have my Markbass LMTube800 long enough to try it with this particular cab desing, but that might be another very good micro option, since it puts out around 500 watts into 8ohms.

I already have the shuttle so that is what is going with my cab. In the process now of building so we'll see if my 375 is good enough. Never heard of the LMTube800 though.
