What's the best fretboard wood for Metal?

does it really matter? The FB wood is going to have very little effect on your sound, especially in Metal, you need to look more to your electronics and pre to really find a good cutting sound to compete with the heavy guitars and drums. I played Metal for 14 years worldwide, and Kent Armstrong HB's and a good pre always had a great sound for anything. I played a Ric 4001 mostly, and nothing could fight that sound.

So, I joined an original metal band a few weeks ago, and I'm not happy with my bass tone. I tried everything. Metal knobs, plastic knobs, no knobs; rosewood, ebony, wenge; humbuckers, single coils... but then I realized what the real problem was. What is the best car for metal?

now see the best fingerboard is going to be some sort of composite material like fayalite or lucite. This needs to absolutely be on a carbon fiber wrapped neck made of teak. And keep in mind unless the tuner pegs are made from human fingerbones, it won't be brutal enough for metal. And make sure that nut is made from a mouse's spinal column. Last but not least you need to hide a few fender brand washers behind the neck bolts so that the harmonic vibration spreads evenly. And do NOT forget the LuciferAudio Pentabuckers. Seriously, this combination should be common knowledge by now for metal.
