New Aguilar Compressor pedal: "TLC Compressor"

Why would I buy a pedal train board just to accommodate 1 pedal, esp. when I already have a great pedal board? The better question is why would a manufacturer design a pedal around ONE pedal board design? Seems silly to me. At least the pedal is good.

New Aguilar Compressor pedal: "TLC Compressor"

I bought it, I'm still tweaking it but so far seems very good and quiet. The one thing that has been touched on before and I feel is a completely ignorant design, the case protruding beyond the jacks. It looks like I'm going to need to "alter" that mistake and cut the case. I don't have a...

New Aguilar Compressor pedal: "TLC Compressor"

Same here, I'm not quite ready to be a $200 guinea pig but I'm very intrigued.

New Aguilar Compressor pedal: "TLC Compressor"

Anyone know if these have shipped out yet? Still don't see anything on the net about it but maybe I missed it.

Do aesthetics matter to you when it comes to amplification ?

It's funny to be called "shallow" because I dislike certain appearances. I'm sure that same person would be more than happy to date a girl that looks like a pitbull with mange as long as she had a good personality...or would he?

    6x10" cabinet question

I actually use a 6/10 and 4/10. We're a LOUD band! I too was confused by the "real estate" issue brought up as it would have the same footprint as a 4/10 or 1/15 but that's already been pointed out a few times. If I thought a 6/10 were overkill I wouldn't have bought it. I guess it does...

    GBE1200 Power Ratings...

I own GB gear but I'm not an endorser. I practice with mine, play live with it and hear a great sounding amp. I can't say if it "sounds" like a 1200 watt amp but I can say, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I played a Mesa Titan and felt the GBE 1200 hung with it no problem AND sounded better...

    GBE1200 Power Ratings...

Well, I'll be honest, I might as well have been reading chinese for all that I understood with all this EE jargon flying around. I am glad Genz stepped in to explain things...to those who understood it. I haven't read the article so I don't know what all it says other than apparently the GBE...

Do aesthetics matter to you when it comes to amplification ?

Of course! Yes, I definitely want it to sound good but if it looks ugly or has obnoxious colors then it will also be a deciding factor. One main reason I'll never own a Mark Bass, can't stand those color combinations!

    GBE1200 Power Ratings...

Hmmm, I doubt any of the GB guys will respond here which I'm not sure is good or bad. I'm sure there would be people who would attack them no matter what they said BUT it would be nice to get a clearer explanation concerning how they determine their power rating. I will say I do love the tone...

So, I'm thinking about nipple piercings...

For the guys that say it didn't hurt I'm curious what guage you were pierced with? When I had mine done they were pierced with a 12 guage needle and I can assure you it HURT! A month later they were still tender and I decided it wasn't worth it so I took them out. I didn't pay for them as a...

So, I'm thinking about tongue piercings...

Well I've never had my tongue pierced but my ex-wife did (NO it didn't make a difference) as well as some friends. NONE of them ever said it hurt. I have had my nipples done (because the ex-wife wanted them done and you know what guys will do for chicks) and I can assure you a 12 guage needle...

    straplocks are the devil!!

I've been using Schallers for about 15 years, never dropped a bass. As for the screw, I trim down some toothpicks, put them in the screw hole and attatch the button. The screw holds tight and if I need to go back to original I just remove the toothpicks. I've only had 1 failure where a spring...

Tones - Another "Small hands" post.

    1) I don't think a Spector is really what you're looking for in terms of that sound. The pick ups suck in a Legend Classic anyway. 2) "Small" hands isn't really a big deal. I play a 35" scale 6 string and wear a medium size glove. Poeple are surprised I can play my bass but I have no...
