    Ampeg PF500/350, part 4

I did look at it, but unfortunately in Belfast, there aren't many music shops that stock Ampeg, or music shops in general! :) It would just be the one I am after, but thanks for your opinion, as that's exactly the tone I love. Warm and full.

    Ampeg PF500/350, part 4

Somebody may have answered this already, so I do apologise. But I am looking to downsize my 410HLF cab with B2-RE head, to the PF500 with a SVT15e. The 410HLF has served me well, but I love the warm and beefy tone I get from my Ashdown Electric Blue 15" combo and after playing and hearing the...

Double Bass Thomann 33 3/4 EUROPE

Thanks Mike, I will do when I get back to my parents house. Just a bit awkward transported to my mine. :)

Double Bass Thomann 33 3/4 EUROPE

My apologises, I went for the 11 3/4. The 33 looks beautiful though! The strings seem fine to me, I'm used to playing flats on an electric fretless, if that makes any different mind.

Double Bass Thomann 33 3/4 EUROPE

I got one of these a few weeks ago. Came on its own pallet no less! I asked for swing strings. When I eventually got all the wrapping off, I opened the bass to find I had the attach the bridge. Again being a complete newbie to the double bass, I had to investigate how to set it up. Thomann put...

    Ampeg B-410HLF front ported, likes/dislikes?

I've been using this cab with the Ampeg B2-RE head, was a £700 deal two years ago. I do admit sometimes I feel the clarity of my 130watt Ashdown Electric Blue is better than the Ampeg. However, in a band situation, the Ampeg's beefy sound and low end is brilliant, cutting through the guitars...

Newbie: Marcus Miller vs Fender Standard J vs ?

The Marcus Miller is a great bass. I played one about a year ago and I think they are Japanese made, but don't let that put you off as it is brilliantly put together. Wasnt too sure about the pick-up cover, I would buy from your guitar store, so you know if you have any problems, they'll be...

    Portable multitrack recorders?

+1 I have one. Its fantastic for practically anything. I mainly use it for Foley recordings, but I have messed about with the 2 jack/mic inputs and they are great for the size of the unit.

A few questions on MAC recording.

Interface If you used you Mac's internal soundcard you are gonna get some awful sound no matter how expensive the mic or amp you use. I work in an electronic store and too many people think using a £100 mic into their Dell laptop will sound fantastic without an interface. Apogee one, or the...

Replacement Patch Cables for a Boos BCB-30?

I have had mine for a few good years now, and they seem to be creating alot of noise. I know the BCB 60's are gold plated, if that makes any difference (that old debate). Does anyone know where you can get a similar replacement to find inside the case? The cables are quite thin, so I'm...
