Nice (hopefully) simple question; are the pickguards for Fender Jazz' a standard size for all the models? I've got a modern player and wondered if I would have to alter a guard that was made for another model. Thanks in advance

Thanks I'll have a try at both. It's the speed and rhythm of some streaming I have bother with when "opening and closing" my hand. Think i've ruled out using my thumb since I have pretty much skined it :/ Anyway thanks for the help :bassist:

Primarily I use my fingers to play( I can use a pick but prefer plucking) and have recently stumbled upon Snow ((hey oh)) by the Chili's which incorporates strumming. Now here comes the question you were expecting since reading the title.... I can't quite get used to the strumming with my hand...

Love hysteria by Muse but for live performances anything jumpy for the crowd such as Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis.

This is great! Hope this happens to me :) Generally people seem to have only played bass a short while before before playing live. To play original music and write my own basslines I think a you should go in with some sound knowledge but that's just me

I've been playing for roughly 5 months now and only just just starting using a pick. I'll admit that the sound is better for some songs than using fingers BUT..... I don't know if it's just me (most likely is) but I can't seem to get the rhythm that a want across, more kind of singular notes...

Yeah I enjoy coming up with new sounds myself. Don't think I'll be getting the SYB-5 not a sound I think I'd use much :D The covers good but I play it slightly defferent think I'll play with the pickup volume balances. Thanks for the help :bassist:

My Modern Player; streaks better than my Epiphone EB-0. Quite a pa lava getting it and ended up with the white one (obviously) instead of vintage sunburst so I've decided to punish it with stickers :P
