Why do some people love short scales?

I think it's mostly a matter of what you used early in your playing; my first bass was a Hofner Beatle-Bass copy, and I loved it. Later I used longer scale instruments, but I still like the shorties. The big advantage to me was always that a short-scale neck was easier to play with small hands...

    Songs requested with wrong title

Years ago, I was in the car and the DJ on the radio station I was listening got a request. Some guy wanted to dedicate a song to his girlfriend; the song was "Sharon and I, Together". To his credit, the DJ fought back the laughter, and played the request. It was "Sharing the Night Together" by...

Playing something bigger makes everything smaller effect?

I'm currently going back and forth between my Peavey 5-string and my newly acquired Ashbory 4-string. The Ashbory is tiny to start with and in comparison my Peavey is gigantic! Relativity, indeed. Annie

Your opinions on a wireless system, please (correct forum?)

I used wireless a lot back when I did sound for film & TV, and the only one that was perfectly reliable with great sound was Lectrosonics (Invalid Link Removed). They aren't cheap, but they're well worth it when quality and reliability is critical.

    Underrated Basses?

They're a little inconsistent, but if you can find a good one, it's great. Nice look, nice feel.
