Songs requested with wrong title

A pianist friend of mine calls these "Junkyard Dogs" from Back in the Day when "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" was on everyone's Country Club Hit Parade and were continually requested as "Hey, you know that Junkyard Dog song?". ;)
His funniest was "Sunday B***h". Some ol' boy requested "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by that name. He was totally puzzled as to what song it could by until the guy said, "You know, I done tol' you once you ol' Sunday B***h I'm the best that's ever been-he played Fire on the Mountain, Run Boys Run...." :D
Here's a favorite Jack Sheldon tune that comes to mind. It's already past Christmas but it's still pretty cold, so here it is:

Talking to a friend of mine about this thread and she told me this one,

Bar patron requests "Secret Asian Man".
The band giggles but before they can say anything the patron says, "Part of it goes like this, 'He'll give you some lumber and take away your cane' "
:ninja:

Lotta younger kids at the bar I usually play. Once was requested to play "Sweet Home Alabama" so we played the Skynrd song. He said that was pretty cool but the lyrics were all wrong however we got the guitar riff right.

Turns out he wanted "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock

Wish we would've played "Werewolves of London" instead now. Woulda really blown his mind.

My cover band does a mash up of All Summer Long/Sweet Home Alabama AND we throw in background vocals of Werewolves of London. Works every time.

Years ago, I was in the car and the DJ on the radio station I was listening got a request. Some guy wanted to dedicate a song to his girlfriend; the song was "Sharon and I, Together". To his credit, the DJ fought back the laughter, and played the request. It was "Sharing the Night Together" by Doctor Hook.

Totally! That stupid song came on the radio and I told my buddy "I love this song! AAAWOOOOO!" and he looked at me all confused. Then the Kid Rock part started, and I've never been more disillusioned. :(

By the way, any song that makes you want to sing the lyric "A little old lady got mutilated late last light" with a smile on your face is pure epic genius. 'Nuff said.
