ok, So here is my Copy of Gene Simmons' Spector SB1. I used a Carvin neck through blank and mahogany sides. I will say I managed to get the exact stud Pattern off the original, which means my body shape has to be VERY close to correct. Let me know your thoughts..

My "go to" is the black G-3. I rebuilt a pickguard and pups for it about 5 years ago with materials from greatdealz on ebay, and they are SMOKIN. I have heard they used the same pups in the g-3 and s-1 guitar, but I am not so sure...the pups I have sound better and have more output than any...

oooops. forgot to address the serial number. That is a normal serial number for the '74 - '75 period. in 76 they used stickers, and 77 started the common numbering system we all know (which has been changed yet again for 2014, but thats another story)

It looks like the neck was refinished, which will make it lighter in color, without that yellowing that nitro does. You can see the holes in the body for the original pickguard. Originals are not impossible to find, but not easy. But, in my opinion, he is asking way too much for a non original bass.
