awesome good thing i back checked all this before plugging in they gave me two cables set for the mono bridged setup as oppose to two standard cables. just wanted to make sure before i blew up a couple k$. thanks a million everybody ill stick to the 1/4 jacks till i swap the cables they gave me.

well in my experience it comes down to player preference. reasoning for wider string spacing has a lot to do with distribution of the string tension accross the neck so that there isnt too much pressure at any single point (just like guitars) also the wider spacing adds options for playing...
