    Orange Bass terror Tubes

    I put Tong-Sols in mine too. Nice and bright and snappy, not at all dark, but still with tons of bottom end. They especially work well with an aggressive fuzz, and they overdrive naturally, rather than the farty stock tubes.

    First gig last night with new Ampeg rig.

    I have tried the two paired several times at the local Sam Ash, and they pair very well! However, I prefer the beefy sound of the 115s, and two of them sound the best! (with my Orange Terror Bass)

    I have tried fuzz into fuzz and it gets really noisy. I think I'll live with the BMS taking up a bunch of my board.

    I'm thinking about having Mike at Putnam guitars mod my cute little amp. I want to have him replace the Pre section of the amp with a Sansamp VT Bass pedal. (With working effects loop and DI.) I want him to replace the Power section with a 500W amp. That way my baby amp actually sounds...

    Fender 250 2x10 combo.

    Thanks guys! Are there any good and fairly cheap 4x10 cabinets out there that are 4 ohms? I like the Ampeg 4x10HLF cab, but its a tad too dark and expensive for my taste. I prefer more punchy/low-mids. SWR workingpro 4x10 maybe?

    Fender 250 2x10 combo.

    Can I run my Bassman 250/210 combo out to a 410 cab? The cab i was thinking of is rated at 350 continuous watts at 8 ohms, and the parallel out on the back of the combo is 250 watts at 4 ohms. I'm pretty new to this so I'm not sure if this would work. The amp is solid state, and I'm just looking...

    +1! I use the heavy 66's on both of my jazzes and love them. So what if they are rough? You should have calluses by now on your finger tips! Just means you should practice more! Good luck with them, and productive practicing.

    Dropped C string gauge?

    I like rotosound heavys, they accommodate D standard pretty well, but I like a lot of tension, and normally stick to standard, or half a step down.
