    For metal I would recommend a Schecter as I think they handle detuning better than most (I had a Stiletto but lost it in a flood). I have an Ibanez BTB675 which is great and a SR305, even though the SR305 is only a 34" I prefer it for metal.

    I found cutting them slightly shorter then the length of the hole, about 2 or 3, then screwing your strap lock back into the hole works well

    I've had the same problem with my SR305 but I managed to sort it with some slithers of wood which hold the screw in nice and tight

    I've just bought the BTB675 and I think its great, I live the sound and its a really good looking bass. I also have a SR305 which is so comfortable to play, I can't believe how good it its for the price (£309)

    I have had a listen to some of the demo's and they do sound good. Im waiting for a new shop to open so I can try out the managers Staccato and 2 2x12 set-up (I think).

    I recently lost my Peavey Firebass 700 with 4x10 and 1x15 in a flood and my insurance company are paying me out about £1300-1400 for a Peavey Tour 700 plus cabs. I've recently tried the Tour with a peavey TVX 2x10 and a TVX 1x15 and I cant say Im too impressed. Im at a bit of a lose with what...
