The bigger sized LEDs you find on pedals are 5mm and the smaller sized are 3mm. Swapping to blue LEDs may also require you to change the resistor that controls its brightness, because the brighter they are, the faster your battery will die!

I've been a Zender fan since 1995 and I still don't know how the hell he got half those tones with Jamiroquai (somehow I doubt he remembers either lol). Each track seems to always have something different happening be it eq, effects, compression...especially on the Return of the Space Cowboy...

DI should only be there as a backup in my opinion. I mean...a sound guy can mic a guitar cab, but can't mic a bass cab? If I were stuck in that situation I'd want something like a Pod or Sansamp so at least it sounds like an amped up bass.

Circuit designs are not covered by copyright, and practically no stompboxes are covered by patents (because they aren't eligible). This is why cloning is such an ethical minefield. There is really nothing protecting anyone.
