It's more about how it looks, rather than how it's made. The one thing about a relic finish, is it doesn't necessarily match how you hold/play the bass. If I were to order another bass with relic finish, I would send the manufacturer pictures of how I sit/stand/hold/play the bass, so they can...

When my brain finally catch up and realize, those are not the standard EMG P/J pickups, those are Ken Smiths. The switch used to be a knob, too. I am not complaining, it sounds! benne^

My latest acquisition, it sounds and looks great, even before getting cleaned and new strings. It has a very in-your-face kind of sound, compared to all my other basses, very growly and punchy, so I am happy. But what to string it up with... Ibanez SR1500 benne^

Always enjoy the ESP exhibition models, guitars and bass', also it's a nice way for ESP to let their builders be creative and learn new things. One of the guitars they did this year, is almost exactly what I want, if I could figure out how to order a ESP MIJ custom build. benne^
