The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

I moved not long ago, and my new place has this tiny room, that both my mum and sister exclaimed "Walk in closet!" at. I completely agreed with them and got to work. benne^

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

I got hit by a serious case of, you know what, when I saw this for sale. Will get a better picture tomorrow, when there is better light. I didn't have a fretless and I didn't have a green bass, so I will name this one Two Bird. benne^

    Early Heavy Music

This tune rocks, completely forgot about it. I'd like to add The Savage Rose - A Trial in Our Native Town (1968)

Vintage Japanese Basses - for those who appreciate them

Some of those Teiscos look like an 1950's American diner. benne^

I like relic finishes better than authentic relics. Crazy?

It's more about how it looks, rather than how it's made. The one thing about a relic finish, is it doesn't necessarily match how you hold/play the bass. If I were to order another bass with relic finish, I would send the manufacturer pictures of how I sit/stand/hold/play the bass, so they can...

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Four)

That's glorious! I've skipped on other ZZBs, because I want the black and blue one, to match my ZZ guitar. How is the neckdive? benne^

    The Soundgear Club

When my brain finally catch up and realize, those are not the standard EMG P/J pickups, those are Ken Smiths. The switch used to be a knob, too. I am not complaining, it sounds! benne^

The Bass You Wanted to Like

My Sandbergs. The California VM5 needs to be sold, it's my least used bass at this point, have another 5 string I'd rather use. Don't get me wrong, it's a good instrument, it's just not for me; it doesn't make me feel happy and playful, like some other basses do. The Forty-Eight, I never liked...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

My latest acquisition, it sounds and looks great, even before getting cleaned and new strings. It has a very in-your-face kind of sound, compared to all my other basses, very growly and punchy, so I am happy. But what to string it up with... Ibanez SR1500 benne^

    The Soundgear Club

Got some serious GAS after finding this for reasonably cheap, just got it today. MIJ SR1500, from 1991 I believe. benne^

Built-in effects on my project bass

I would have been more surprised, if it hadn't been done and failed. Thanks for the links, will look into them, learning new things will be fun! benne^

Built-in effects on my project bass

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing great. I've been playing with this idea for a while, to have a home made effect "pedal", built directly into my project bass, The Duckly Ugling. My first idea is a spring reverb, as much of a nightmare as it may seem, just image all the lovely interference...

Wow, I've never seen an ESP Bass like this before!

Always enjoy the ESP exhibition models, guitars and bass', also it's a nice way for ESP to let their builders be creative and learn new things. One of the guitars they did this year, is almost exactly what I want, if I could figure out how to order a ESP MIJ custom build. benne^
