I have a Planet Waves CT-04 and it works great! Easy to read, but if you've got an outdoor gig during the day they are a bit hard to read....

I've used a Hughes & Kettner tube factor distortion with success. I liked it.

My planet waves ct-04 works like a champ. I'm surprised anyone's had a problem with it. The thing is built like a brick sh*t house! My brother just bought a TC Electronics Polytune and is RAVING about it!
