Just purchased of craigslist for $70. Installed a Fender "Orginal" P-bass pickup and a set of Thomastik-Infield's. Very nice bass! Plays and sounds great!

I am going to put a Super Ferrite in a Squier 50s classic vibe P bass.

I have a 97 P and the neck is as good as a US made or anywhere else. I also have a Mike Dirnt Squier Precision, the neck is very simular to my 97 P. I can play each well, the 97 P a little better. The MD Squier weighs 8lbs and the 97 P is 9lbs. A Mike Dirnt Squier has more mass than a P bass...

I put a DiMarzio split p in my squire Mike Dirnt. I use it for blues .

Ibanez made lots of basses with one piece maple neck. Here's my TR 50.

I put a DiMarzio "Split P" in my Mike Dirnt Squier Precision. I am very happy with the sound. This Pickup works well if the the pole pieces don't line up evenly.

I picked up an almost new Mike Dirnt Squire Precision for $180 on CL. Its really a 51 P with a thin neck, slpit coils, and a star I could do without. Very nice bass! $280 @ MF.
