Don't push the HLF too much... I had one that blew consistently. If you are into super low end cabs check out Epifani. The cabs cost more but you may be able to get better sound for the same price. I'd put 2 Epifani 12's against 4 ampeg 10's any day... and your cab will be 3x lighter at least.

Her friends at shows... i heard female keyboard players friends get down with bass players in their friends band. sleep overs, female dominant partys, thanksgiving, etc... all these things will open up. As will the number of middle aged men at your shows... Woman who rip are fun to watch. Period.

I've always had a hard time reading about other peoples experiences with music. I think it effects everyone in a different way, I tend to try and stay away from books to keep my style as far from stock as possible. its just a matter of figuring it out... especially rock. SO many ways to rip it!

it all depends on how much money you have. What was your old amp that wasn't cutting it? an 8x10 ampeg is HUGE, HEAVY as hell, and pretty ridiculously overboard if your playing the amphitheater on sundays. I would suggest something light and powerful. If you got some money ($500?) Epifani...

I have had bad luck with Ampeg in the past... I even rented the exact cab one time and it was twice as loud as the lemon I got. 100w is pretty low for practice, but I agree all you need is more juice... of course if you can afford it... Classifieds!

I still have a Fender Bassman 100. The only combo I've ever had. I plug it in if I want to get **** on (like literally **** flying out of the speaker into your ear and into your brain). I just use it to try out pedals. If i get angry I'll plug in an axe i want to fight. I cant get rid of it...
