Whats the worst combo you've ever owned?

'80s Peavey TNT 130.
While totally bulletproof, it deserved to be taken out back and shot.

Plugged the output of a tan tolex early Fender Super into the TNT cab. At low volume the Peavey had the identical fat warm tube old school sound of a true vintage Fender.
Turn that combo up and it's THD took over and nothing mattered. It just didn't sound good.
Totally bulletproof. The seamless vinyl coating kept all the "wishwood" from pouring out.
Thanks to it for being an interim piece.

69 Mosrite BG-1000 "The Ventures Big Adventure", after the head part had been already sawed off the cabinet. This was a giant 2-15 and a tweeter combo that swung on a big chrome stand like a VOX.

Beautiful huge SS amp, that could hardly play 1 gig without needing fixed. It was finally thrown away in the mid 80's. Then I found out they had only built 19 of them and in original condition would be priceless. At least I wasn't the guy who sawed it in half, that was my best buddy, but I did finally throw it away. Thank you Internet.

OMG! I had several of those! I think I paid about $400, back in about 70-71. I don't know how many I blew up - I completely lost track! First the speakers would go, then before you could turn around & say, "***?", the amp would go, too. At least they were cheap, & easy to get (& fix, at least up to a point). I had one stolen, too.

No wheels, handle on each side mounted too low for proper balance. It took 2 people to carry one, & it was a challenge to keep upright.

What utter crap! But when I was a kid, that's all I could afford. When I finally scraped together enough money to buy a new Acoustic 456, I never looked back...

I still have a Fender Bassman 100. The only combo I've ever had. I plug it in if I want to get **** on (like literally **** flying out of the speaker into your ear and into your brain). I just use it to try out pedals. If i get angry I'll plug in an axe i want to fight. I cant get rid of it though cause thats what i gigged with in high school. That thing still triggers flash backs. cant... let... go.........

I had one of these when I first started playing...Terrible.

Worst: Haynes Bass King II - awesome fartiness and no tone or volume - then it smoked.

Best - Fender BXR200 - good price point, will fill a small to medium room, good compressor, decent tone, not too heavy. I've used it on everything from big bands to jazz to folk to rock gigs. It could have used a tweeter. I still have it for rehearsals.
