Love my 2000 Q5 with Barts (GK 550 Fusion)....but....the Barts sound a bit more "crunchy" to me lately. On recordings, the tone feels more rounded, but considering the EMG swap. Which pups do you have installed on yours?

Most advanced musicians I meet are all still constantly learning their craft and have evolved into a non-judgmental status. I just stick to my own evolution and try to keep learning; it's just a bit lower elevation on the same "non-attainable mountain" of endless learning. I'm depressed...again.

Lesson learned - let the bass warm up a bit before playing it! Sounds great! Gave it a full clean and got my well worn Ken Smith flats on her and she’s purrin! I’ll send pics soon, no probs.

Q5 arrived and it’s quite a change from the P5! Looking forward to getting used to it. Overall, it’s a pretty light bass, and the body is in pretty good shape. But, the pickups and knobs are pretty tight, and the volume knob is pretty touchy and possibly damaged - I’ll have to test it on my pro...

Lower 5ths, lower 3rds, lower 7ths! It all depends on what string you start on! Love having more options with less range of motion...(still working on all that jazz)
