Is the part where SansAmp is written brushed aluminium or does it show the lines of the aluminium milling? In some renderings it's looks brushed and flat while others (depending on the light) we can see deep cuts of the milling.

Hello folks. What strap locks have you installed in the Stingray Special 5 or 4 and did you have to drill or could install them without any bass modifications?

Did you had the chance to compare to the current 5ers (Euro CST and LX)? I'd like to know how the sound differs being slightly different woods but, mostly, the JJ pickups. Absolutely gorgeous bass!

I haven't had the chance to get other batteries yet. The old ones seem to still be okish, so at least I can play.

Tried to fold the pieces of paper in half again and that also didn't work. I could also feel the pole pieces in the other side of the battery compartment so those are not a problem for the new size. And, on top of that, is the bigger battery that's not working and I imagine the shims make more...

I got the "ear" out of the 4x-box of the old Duracells and folded them in half. The battery box closed very tightly. Answering you last question: both versions of the battery seem to be pushed the same way when I'm closing it. With the piece of paper was very tight to close and open back again...

Did a pause on my practice because the volume was going down (which I suspect is the old battery but it could also be other things), tried the paper thing but it didn't work, unfortunately.

Duracell 9v battery changed their size and now doesn't work with the Stingray Special. Both the exact same model and the new one doesn't work at all. The poopy place I've purchased (Media Markt in Germany) didn't receive it back either. Right one is the new one.

They don't seem to have the black tuner keys and I imagine that the bridge for the Myung's it's a different bridge either. I email Music Man to ask about a custom order but they answered that they can't/don't do that for the Myung's.
