2nd new TH350 has the same issue as the first one ...

Hi Phlipper, Push the power cord in all the way. It will be a tight fit in a new amp. You can push it in past the initial resistance. There is a some flex in socket so that it will not break when you pull the power cord out. If you still have problems please contact us at...

I was having a pretty crappy day until I saw this thread. I could tell you....but I'm chuckling so much from all the answers!

Aguilar DB680 with odd Tube layout?

Hi folks, The earliest versions of the DB 680 did indeed have only 4 tubes. The layout change and additional tube occurred in the mid-1996. Based on what I remember, I believe that the serial number of any 4 tube version would be under 100. Hope this is helpful! Best, Dave B.

    DB750 Shutting Itself Off?

Hi Paul, No reason to put the amp on a separate AC circuit. What is tripping the breaker is the inrush current, which is a high current draw only at start up. Steady state operation does not draw nearly as much current. The thermistor we added years ago limits the inrush current and prevents...

    DB750 Shutting Itself Off?

Hey hey there, If it trips the circuit breaker in your house we can give a part called a thermistor. This slows down the current draw at start up that popped the circuit breaker. That should take care of that unless you have very small breakers. The thermistor has been part of the build for...

    Best micro-head power section

Hey B-string, It's not that we refuse independent testing. We simply think that using average and peak measurements for power ratings creates a lot of confusion. The Tone Hammer 350 and 500 use the ICE Power 125 and 250. You can get 350 watts continuous from the TH 350 and 500 watts continuous...

    Aguilar - Official 'Tone Hammer 500' 3.8lbs 500w Megathread!

The slight pop is the sound of switch for the fan when it turns on for the first time. It's normal and won't come through the direct out. Hope that helps clarify. Dave B.

    Aguilar P/J - Blend Issues

Hey JBD! Don't mess with the pickups, I think this is going to turn out to be related to the blend pot. Although the pot you used is a good one, it may not have the proper specs. Write us a note at [email protected] and we'll help you. DB

Aguilar Amplification Announces the Fuzzistor™ Bass Fuzz Pedal

Sigh...yes, the person involved in getting the press release out is not technical, and we didn't catch the spelling error. Fortunately the pedal sounds the same without or without the extra "e". Dave B.

    New fuzz pedal from Aguilar

1971 was great year for heavy distorted bass sound (and rock music in general). Playing through the Fuzzistor just made me think of that year! If you're at NAMM come by and give it a wack. We're in hall B, #5956.

Tone Hammer 500 Sound Thinning Out

Sorry to hear something's not right. The amp doesn't limit or choke off volume as it gets hot. If it passes the thermal threshold, the thermal sensors just shut the amp off. And that won't happen unless the amp is broken. I don't know what's going on with your rig but if you contact us at...

    John Patitucci's new bass

Pat Campolattano at Yamaha in California made the bass. I'm proud to say that the bass uses Aguilar DCB pickups and OBP-3 preamp.
