I don't play well.
A couple weeks ago I ordered two Aguilar cabs, the DB112 and the DB112NT. The DB112 was in stock and showed up pretty quickly, so I've been playing it for a while. The DB112NT showed up today and I unboxed it to find that the grill color does not closely match the other cabinet. These are new cabs and supposed to match. One is probably two shades lighter than the other:

I also swapped them around so you can see it's not a trick of the light:

So, I'm on the fence about whether or not to complain. What would you do?

When I got my second EBS Neo212, I discovered that EBS had changed their logo badge on the grille from white to chrome. At first I was annoyed, but then I realized that it was a good way to keep track of which one was which, and that using the chrome one on the bottom actually looked kind of cool, sort of a shading effect:

Now, in your case, the two cabs really are of slightly different type, so for me it's even something of a virtue that they're visually really close but not identical, so you can easily make sure you stack them in your preferred order, or grab the one you intended to load out in a hurry. I probably wouldn't complain, but if it bugs you, be all means call and ask what solutions there might be.

I most definitely would, especially with new Aguilars. I could be wrong but I thought they had a pretty good selection of tolex/grille combos for a major manufacturer. If so, you probably spent a lot of time debating on what colour would be perfect for you. Why settle for less than satisfaction?

You guys have me planning to call them tomorrow. I re-read my post and I agree that "complain" isn't the right word. Everything else about the cabs is really nice, it's just that small details bug me more than others, especially when I pay new gear prices, lol.

Definitely call us! Or better yet email [email protected].
We'll be able to match one of the grills and send it to you. Please send the pictures along with the serial numbers.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for taking the time here. I will send an email with the info tonight.
