Such minor gaffes are most present in what is called "factory seconds" and should get a reduced rebate price. Factory seconds are sort of well working and fully warranted, but something in the finishes or aesthetics where not up to snuff. Cosmetically differences should be discounted. Some companies usually don't put out them at all, but sometimes they just need to. Their QC should've spotted this directly and put them aside for later sales. Maybe internal to their employees, or backyard sale. Same department as "demos".

If I ordered two cabs with matching grilles, I#d expect to get them with matching grilles. If all else is right I'd be ok with them sending me a matching replacement grille to make things right.

I also feel like a jerk for asking on here before emailing or calling them.

Yeah, you're a real JERK for starting this thread, which is going to end up as a free ad for their customer service now that Dave B. responded to you so quick.

Could you be a JERK and start some blogs about the customer service in my Link Removed?
(be sure to let me know where I can find them)

Mine neither. I couldnt stand it. But I do have an Ampeg head sitting on an Orange cab so....
For some reason, I'm fine with mismatched head/ cabs. The only issue I have with that is when the head is wider than the cab. Then it's like:

I will share an Aguilar customer service story with you... I was at an outdoor gig, running off of a generator (huge gen supplied by sound company) and Aggie TH500 head is lit up but no sound.... tried new cables, different cabs.. nothing.. big gig for us, lots of people, it's a wed afternoon and i called Aguilar directly and got a tech on the phone who walked me through every possible scenario, including ones not connected to the Tone Hammer, until we found out what was wrong... the entire stage was wired to run off of one circuit on the generator by the sound company... not enough juice to run everything... wires re-routed, everything worked flawlessly as usual. The only other experience like that was when I bought my first Rivera guitar amp and needed it re-biased. My tech had never worked on one before so we called Rivera and Paul Rivera himself answered and walked my guy through a service and re-bias over the phone. Put your money behind the right people and it will pay off in the end. I will say that I have the same level of confidence in the LDS cabs that I bought. I feel strongly that if there ever was an issue, Don would stand behind his work.
