Lets say my bass cab handles 2000 watts RMS and my SVT-6 only pushes 1100 Watts, what would the difference be if I had a power amp? In reality will it make my head push more then 1100 watts?

so lets say I buy a power amp and plug everything in right, whats the difference between having one and not?

I have no clue what a power amp does, Ive tried googling it but cannot find an answer, Can someone please just give me a short description?

ive got a B2RE and that doesnt even push near enough power as I need, youd be better off with the mark bass

Ive never used the X2, But I have the Freeport Sennhieser and it doesnt cut your tone too much, I tune in A though so it might be hard for me to notice. Its only 150$.

If your into the new (not nu) metal scene, Then Hands down a Vader 810 is the best cab.

As far as ohms go, I think 4 is the desirable number. But whenever you get two cabs the number of ohms get split in half, (so 8 would become 4 if you had two 8 ohm cabs.) So if you plan on getting two cabs and using both get 8 ohms, but if you just want one get a 4 ohm.

Thanks guys, Its mainly a problem for shows, But for practices Ill just Boost my mids, and shows boost em if they dont do a direct line. I only use the wireless at shows. I plan on geting the SVT 6 soon so that should fix the problem.
